The past two weeks have revealed the worst qualities of the left and the best qualities of the right. For conservatives, the assassination of Charlie Kirk has not only resulted in a sense of unity but also a reaffirmation of faith and prayer, unlike any event since the ideology's inception. More of those on the right are openly standing up for the Christian faith, disavowing leftist political terrorism, and are calling out those who seek to destroy their people more than ever before. The new conservative attitude is holding those who created the rhetoric that led to Charlie's assassination accountable, and being unafraid to do so, putting up with them any longer.
Meanwhile, on the left, the response to Charlie's murder has only served to highlight their moral decay. Whether it be leftist violence advocate and streamer Steven Bonnell (otherwise known as Destiny) mocking Kirk's closest friends and his wife Erika just days after his assassination on national television, or Jimmy Kimmel calling Kirk's assassin right-wing, the left seems to have truly lost its mind in response to this tragedy that was committed by their side of the political aisle.
Kimmel's comments about Kirk led to his cancellation by ABC's parent corporation, Sinclair Broadcast Group. Along with his firing, Sinclair pledged to air a tribute to Charlie Kirk during Kimmel's timeslot and requested a 'meaningful personal donation to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA' from Kimmel. This move has infuriated the left, the Democratic Party, and all pundits who thrive on the feigned outrage on which they built their careers.
Kimmel's fall from grace and the left's reaction to it serve as a stark reminder of their reliance on manufactured outrage and the real-life consequences of their actions. No other individual in media seems to embody the frenzy of modern American leftism more than disgraced sportscaster turned social media lunatic, Keith Olbermann.
In the midst of Kimmel's cancellation, Olbermann seemed to have lost his gourd. In a post on X, Olbermann stated, "Burn in hell, Sinclair. Alongside Charlie Kirk." This statement, while shocking, is not an isolated incident. It is a stark representation of the Democratic Party, the modern American left, and the former mainstream media darling, Keith Olbermann.
Throughout his career, Olbermann was adored by his overlords at ESPN as a sportscaster, at MSNBC as a political commentator, and now on social media as a leftist provocateur trying to hold on to what is left of his dying career. He has been fired by every media outlet that he has ever worked at, whether it be for his comments about a Penn State University student raising funds for pediatric cancer being "pitiful" or being insubordinate at MSNBC for donating to Democratic politicians. The mainstream media that had adored and utilized him across sports and political commentary had to fire the monster they had created. Unfortunately, due to his social media presence, Olbermann has arguably made more headlines in his post-mainstream career than he ever could have dreamed of while on national television, in the worst possible way.
Olbermann's dismay and anger about both of President Donald Trump's elections have escalated over the last decade into a dysfunction that a university should likely study. Like a caged animal, Olbermann unleashes a daily torrent of bile that resembles the writings of a man descending into chaos while trying to profit from his morally decrepit podcast. He has transitioned from a sports commentator to a tool of the American left, used for his former glory, if you can even call it that. Olbermann is nothing but a disgraced former media darling. Yet, he may be the best representation of the disgust that the modern Democratic Party and its elitist ilk feel about conservatism and figures such as Charlie Kirk. Whilst ignoring tragedy or the simple human condition, they represent the worst of American society as openly and disgustingly as possible, as we have witnessed the left celebrate Kirk's assassination just like Olbermann has and continues to.
Olbermann's hellfire for conservatives mirrors exactly what Democrats in Washington, leftists that protest in the streets, and most university professors that indoctrinate the students that Charlie Kirk tried to talk to embody. This inherent hatred for everything the Republican Party, America First patriots, and Christian conservatives all around the nation is represented best by Keith Olbermann. He masquerades hate for others as progressive tolerance, uses violent rhetoric to be accepted by the social media trolls that adore his content, and embraces a dehumanizing attitude that treats conservatives as animals rather than fellow citizens who deserve a voice within political discourse.
Charlie Kirk was a representative for the Christian faith, bold American families, and the conservative movement. He was a hero who deserved the utmost acclaim for what he did for our nation. His legacy continues to inspire us, and his resilience in the face of leftist hostility is a testament to the unwavering strength of our movement. Keith Olbermann, in stark contrast, is the best representative the left could ask for. Like what Matt Walsh posted on X, Olbermann is a godless, childless, jobless monster who despises conservatives, Christians, and anyone who even gives them a microphone to have their views verbalized. It is no wonder that Keith hated Charlie, because Charlie was representative of everything Keith failed to be.
