But here’s the truth: we can’t solve America’s most significant problems—like our crushing national debt—until we stop illegal immigration once and for all. The Left, with its open-border policies and obsession with attacking President Trump, wants the floodgates wide open. I’m running to slam them shut.
As a state representative, I’ve seen how illegal immigration strains our communities and wallets. It’s not just about borders—it’s about fairness to the taxpayer. That’s why I stand with President Trump in the fight to end birthright citizenship for illegal aliens—no more automatic citizenship for children born to those here unlawfully. At least one parent must be an American citizen. Period. The illegal alien birthright citizenship loophole has been abused for far too long, and it must be closed.
In Tennessee, I passed a law revoking driver’s licenses from illegal immigrants. In Congress, I’ll build on that work by cracking down on sanctuary cities that defy our immigration laws. I’ve also pushed to give law enforcement the tools to stop illegal border crossings, human trafficking, and the deadly fentanyl poisoning our neighborhoods. In Washington, I’ll take that fight national.
We just received word that a Somali national who is being held for rape in Nashville has an ICE detainer, another example of failed Democrat sanctuary policies. Mayor Freddie O’Connell would rather stand with illegal aliens than his constituents. The Democrat mayor of Boston, Michelle Wu, is thumbing her nose at our laws and American citizens. There are almost daily stories coming out of California. These are just a few examples. Leftist mayors, governors, and other far-left Democrat elected officials who enact sanctuary policies have abdicated their duty to protect their communities. There’s no time to waste, and Congress must act now. End all sanctuary city, state, and county policies.
Meanwhile, our economy is staggering under $36 trillion in debt. The Left thinks higher taxes and more spending will fix it. That’s nonsense. In Congress, I’ll work with President Trump to rein in spending, pass rescission bills to cut waste, and get our fiscal house in order. We’ll bring manufacturing back home, unleash American energy, and stand with farmers, workers, and small businesses. That’s how you build an economy that works for everyday Americans, not the elites.
My fight began during COVID, when government mandates shut down our schools, masked our kids, and crushed Tennessee businesses. My wife Claire and I couldn’t sit back while bureaucrats trampled our freedoms. That moment pushed me to step up. I ran for office soon thereafter, and when elected, I got to work. In the legislature, I helped pass a Trump-backed school choice law, putting parents—not teachers’ unions or bureaucrats—in charge of their children’s education. I also fought corruption in Tennessee politics, passing laws to protect your right to vote and ensure our military ballots are counted. I stand with our Military and First Responders, not Party elites.
In the Tennessee General Assembly, I’ve walked the walk, not just talked the talk. I’ve proudly supported President Trump since 2016. President Trump has shown us what strong leadership looks like. He’s fought tirelessly to secure our borders, deport criminal aliens, and put America first. I’m running to be his reliable teammate.
I’m pro-life, pro-family, and pro-America. The Left wants to tear down everything we hold dear. I’m standing with President Trump to stop them. We need secure borders, an end to illegal immigration, a strong economy, and protection for our values. Together, we can make America strong again.
