Jack Posobiec released a special edition of Human Events Daily on Monday which analyzed various themes including Christianity in the classic Christmas movie, "It's a Wonderful Life." He hosted Glenn Jacobs, the Mayor of Knox County in Tennessee, who is also a big fan of the 1946 film.

Posobiec stated that "if you have religion in your life," particularly Christianity, "you can put it in your life and say you give it up to God," something that is an important plot point in the film. "You could say, you know what? Maybe God's going to help me with this burden. Maybe God gave me this because he wants me to see it through. Maybe God and the story of Christ itself, which is, of course, the center of Christmas, is a story of sacrifice."

The host explained how Christ was willing to endure the pain and torture he faced throughout His life "only because he would do so for you," he said, adding, "And that, by the way, is my answer to why ‘It's a Wonderful Life’ is a Christmas movie."

Jacobs agreed, stating that he hoped by the end of the film the protagonist George "realizes that he does have a wonderful life because of all the people that he's helped, the tremendous impact that he has made on his local community, all the things that he's done, and yeah, the world would be a different place if it hadn't been for him."

Jacobs clarified, "You're not the power of of Jesus Christ, but nevertheless, that same decision-making along the way, and in the end, it did take an angel to show him that that's really what the whole thing's been. That's really what our lives are about."
