Elon Musk said Friday he is putting his purchase of Twitter on hold.
Musk made the announcement in a tweet after agreeing to buy the Big Tech platform for $44 billion.
“Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users,” Musk tweeted.
In the post, he linked to a Reuters report stating that Twitter disclosed a filing Monday that fake or spam accounts represented fewer than 5 percent of Twitter’s monetizable daily active users during the first quarter, Just the News reports.
Shortly after, Musk also tweeted that he is "still committed" to the acquisition.
