Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec spoke strongly against those who vandalized a new Charlie Kirk statue that was unveiled outside Turning Point USA’s Arizona headquarters on the 1-year anniversary of his killing, saying that “You come for our symbols, we come for you.”
“This weekend, the statue of Charlie Kirk, right outside our Turning Point headquarters, was vandalized. Red paint smeared all over, including blood-red gashes where these people shot Charlie to evoke blood gushing from his neck and all over his body and all over MAGA hats. The Christian memorial that’s nearby, the prayer memorial that’s nearby, face crossed out, the name of Jesus crossed out because they hate the name of Jesus," he said.
“They despise the name of Christ the King. The name of Christ the King causes them pain. Prayer causes demons pain,” Posobiec added. “Understand, the kind of right we’re in is spiritual. It’s not physical, but it does have physical manifestation.”
On the topic of the “physical plane,” Posobiec added, “the cameras outside of the Turning Point headquarters work very well, and the relationship between Turning Point and local law enforcement is very strong. And they're about to find out just how good our cameras work, and they're about just about to find out how good our law enforcement relationship is too.”
He said of the vandals, “Enjoy that, guys. Enjoy it while you can. Enjoy your freedom because you're not going to be enjoying it long.”
“We will defend this statue,” he declared. “It’s very simple, folks. It’s very simple. You come for our symbols, we come for you. And we’re going to continue coming for you.”
He said that “lots of parents, lots of employers, lots of law enforcement, State Department” got phone calls over the weekend over posts made in which people were “mocking,” “laughing” at, and “cheering” for the assassination of Kirk, “and we will continue to do so.”
“I will continue to do so because I'm not going to sit around and play defense. No, the best defense is a good offense.”
He said that “we’re not just going to be defending the statue of Charlie Kirk. Understand something: this is just the first statue of Charlie Kirk. There are going to be statues of Charlie Kirk going up all over this country. We're going to have statues of Charlie Kirk everywhere, and we're going to go to the administration, and we're going to have them put a permanent statue to Charlie Kirk in Washington DC. Do you understand how far we're going to go with this thing?”
“We're not going to stop at there just being one statue of Charlie Kirk,” he said, later adding, "We are going to increase the honor of Charles James Kirk and the public honoring of Charles James Kirk. We're going to have Charlie Kirk free speech squares on every campus in America.”
