A New York judge on Wednesday said he is close to releasing President Trump from a contempt finding if he pays the $110,000 in accrued fines for not turning over requested documents in a civil investigation,

Judge Arthur Engoron said he will conditionally lift the contempt finding if Trump pays the fines and submits additional affidavits by May 20th.

As previously reported by Human Events News, last month, Engoron said Trump did not meet the order he issued to comply with the subpoena by New York Attorney General Letitia James and that the court would fine him $10,000 a day until he resolved the ruling.

The $110,000 represents what Engoron ordered Trump to pay through May 6, when Trump’s lawyers submitted 66 pages of court documents detailing efforts to locate the subpoenaed records, per Just the News
