Inflation in January soared to 7.5 percent, compared to the same month last year, the Labor Department announced Thursday. 

As reported by Just the News, the number exceeded economists’ predictions that consumer prices in January had risen to 7.3 percent compared to a year ago. 

This is the fastest rate of increase we've seen since 1982.
