ABC’s “The View” made the decision to suspend Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks after she repeatedly claimed the Holocaust was “not about race.”
What’s worse, she made the comments on Holocaust Remembrance Day.
ABC President Kim Godwin on Tuesday called Goldberg's comments "wrong and hurtful,” and said her suspension is "effective immediately.”
"While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments," she added. "The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities."
After receiving heaps of criticism online, Goldberg came to her own defense on Twitter.
