It is no secret that Democrats support some pretty ludicrous policies, but the results of a new Rasmussen Reports/Heartland Institute poll might take the cake.

According to the poll, Democrats were more than twice as likely as other voters to favor harsh government restrictions being placed on the unvaccinated, including fines or even loss of child custody.

48 percent of Democrats said the government should be able to fine or put in jail those who question the vaccines efficacy, while only 27 percent of all voters supported the idea, per the Daily Signal.

55 percent of Democratic voters favored fines against those who refuse to get vaccinated, compared to only 19 percent of Republicans. 59 percent of Democrats favored a policy requiring unvaccinated people to isolate in their homes at all times, except for emergencies, while 79 percent of Republicans opposed the idea.

45 percent of Democrats supported the idea of placing people in government “designated facilities” until they get vaccinated.

Perhaps the most shocking statistic of all: 29 percent of Democrats said the government should take away child custody from those who refuse to get vaccinated. In comparison, only 7 percent of Republicans and 11 percent of unaffiliated voters supported the idea.
