Former Alabama Supreme Court Justice Roy Moore, famous for defiantly displaying the Ten Commandments in his Court, formed an exploratory committee yesterday.

In a statement on his committee's website, Moore says that he is running because the country is in a "moral, economic, and constitutional crisis."

Further, Moore writes that the basic institutions of "family, faith, and freedom are under assault, and our leadership is divided by petty party politics and a special interest agenda," and emphasizes God and tough immigration policy on the website.

Moore is being advised by the former co-chairman of Mike Huckabee's 2008 Iowa campaign, according to multiple reports.
