Posobiec discussed the sanctions on Wednesday's episode of Human Events Daily, calling the announcement “huge news out of the State Department.”
The group, known as the Autistici Invenati Collective, gives encrypted communications, web hosting, and other services used by far-left extremist networks. He described the collective as “a central node in the far-left's war on our civilization.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in announcing the sanctions that “far-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West.” “Today, the United States is sanctioning several transnational far-left terrorist networks, including the AI Collective that we just talked about,” Rubio said, according to Posobiec's reading of the announcement.
Posobiec highlighted the collective's alleged connection to Rose City Antifa, a Portland-based group. He said Rose City Antifa had used services provided by the Italian collective to dox ICE agents, including by publishing information about agents' homes, and to organize attacks targeting Border Patrol helicopters.
Posobiec connected the announcement to the Antifa roundtable on far-left violence that he attended at the White House last year, where President Donald Trump asked whether Antifa operated as an international network.
“I said, yes, sir, Mr. President is an international network and they deserve international terrorist designation,” Posobiec said. “And here's a perfect example of that.”
He said material linked to the network included information on sabotage techniques, arson, infrastructure vulnerabilities, bridges, pipelines, the electric grid, US military logistics centers, and campus layouts.
Posobiec also pointed to the network's alleged involvement in the Stop Cop City campaign outside Atlanta, Georgia, saying, “Folks, the socialist revolution is on. The Trump administration is taking steps to fight it internationally,” Posobiec said. “We commend them. We back this play. We absolutely back what's going on here and we support it fully to the hilt. God bless those who stand on the side of civilization and may God have mercy on those who oppose it.”
