President Donald Trump is bringing a group of major US business leaders with him to China this week as he prepares for meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping focused on trade, technology, and other major policy disputes.

A White house official said executives from some of the country’s largest companies are expected to join Trump’s delegation, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, and Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg. The trip comes as Washington and Beijing are looking to manage tensions that have escalated in recent weeks. Trump has said he hopes to secure new business agreements and purchase deals during the visit.

Also expected to attend are Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman, Cargill CEO Brian Sikes, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, Coherent CEO Jim Anderson, GE Aerospace CEO H. Lawrence Culp Jr., Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Illumina CEO Jacob Thaysen, Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach, Meta executive Dina Powell McCormick, Micron Technology CEO Sanjay Mehrotra, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, and Visa CEO Ryan McInerney, report PBS.

The White House official spoke on condition of anonymity because the delegation list has not yet been publicly released.

A spokesperson for Cisco said CEO Chuck Robbins had been invited to participate but would not attend because of the company’s earnings schedule. Trump and Xi are expected to discuss a wide range of issues during the summit, including trade relations, artificial intelligence, export controls, Taiwan, and the Iran war.
