On Monday, Israel’s Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu slammed the leaders of Britain, France, and Canada for issuing a joint statement condemning Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza, the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, and warning of potential sanctions and other diplomatic consequences if Israel does not halt its operations against terrorists and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid.

The European nations claimed in a statement to support Israel’s right to self-defense and defend itself from terror, but also called the response to the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre of 1,200 Israelis and the kidnapping of over 250 more as disproportionate. They also reaffirmed their commitment to recognizing a Palestinian state as part of a two-state solution, which has been rejected by the majority of Israelis following the attacks.

The statement accused Israel of denying humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza and warned of possible violations of international humanitarian law. The Hamas terrorist organization called the joint statement “a significant step in the right direction.”

In a post shared to X on Tuesday, Netanyahu responded, urging the world leaders to put pressure on Hamas to release the remaining hostages.

He said "By asking Israel to end a defensive war for our survival before Hamas terrorists on our border are destroyed and by demanding a Palestinian state, the leaders in London, Ottowa and Paris are offering a huge prize for the genocidal attack on Israel on October 7 while inviting more such atrocities.”

“The war began on October 7 when Palestinian terrorists stormed our borders, murdered 1,200 innocent people and abducted over 250 more innocents to the dungeons of Gaza,” he continued.

Netanyahu added, “Israel accepts President Trump's vision and urges all European leaders to do the same. The war can end tomorrow if the remaining hostages are released, Hamas lays down its arms, its murderous leaders are exiled and Gaza is demilitarized. No nation can be expected to accept anything less and Israel certainly won't. This is a war of civilization over barbarism. Israel will continue to defend itself by just means until total victory is achieved."
