Jack Posobiec hosted Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson on Tuesday's episode of Human Events Daily to discuss the confirmation process of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet picks in light of Pete Hegseth's Senate confirmation hearing for the defense secretary position.

Johnson explained that despite a seemingly successful hearing, there is still a process Hegseth will have to go through before he is officially confirmed, adding that "my expectation is President Trump's nominees will be confirmed," as a simple majority vote is needed from the Senate. He also noted that "only two nominees in many, many years have not gotten all the votes of all the United States senators."

"Again, we respect the convincing victory of President Trump. He's the guy who selects who he wants serving in his administration. We're not President, he is," Johnson stated, adding that "the default position of both sides when they're guys in the White House or gals in the White House would be to confirm the nominees he puts forward."

Both Posobiec and Johnson reminded viewers that Trump not only won the electoral college, but also the popular vote despite what certain leftist media outlets have been reporting, and the American people expect their elected officials to back the cabinet their future president selects.
