CHARLIE KIRK: 'I stand with Israel'

"You're trying to tell me that the CIA, Mossad, Israeli intelligence, everybody missed this?”

"You're trying to tell me that the CIA, Mossad, Israeli intelligence, everybody missed this?”

Charlie Kirk declared his support for Israel on his show Monday after the country was ambushed by terrorist group Hamas over the weekend and is now embroiled in war. He also questioned how Israel’s typically top-notch intelligence and armed forces could have missed this in the first place.

He began, “It's a very heavy day. A lot of numbness to be perfectly honest.”

He described the shock felt once he realized that the attacks were on a scale that had not been seen over the past decades despite Israel and Palestinian areas being riddled with conflict.

“The horror and the barbarism here is is hard to even comprehend,” he said. “Israel is now at total war.”

“But I’ve got to be very honest with you here, I want to make sure we ask the right questions.”

He reiterated that the attack, specifically on the music festival in the desert near the Gaza border that saw hundreds of civilians kidnapped, “came out of nowhere” and that he is “scrambling for an explanation.”

“Israel is by far the most alert country in the world… It is a country built as a fortress,” he stated.

Kirk contemplated that “Maybe the Israeli government was double-crossed, maybe they had intelligence about this. We don't know.”

He described the Gaza Strip as being a mere sliver with heavily armed young IDF border security everywhere before reiterating “There's only so many attack vectors that Hamas could go through.”

“And you're trying to tell me on the 50-year anniversary of the Yom Kippur War … they're able to get 800 people through the border, they go to a music festival and start mowing people down, successfully kidnap Israelis and bring them back to Gaza?”

He reported that it took three to six hours for the IDF to arrive at the location of the music festival according to sources, noting he was once able to fly “from Jerusalem, to the Gulf to Gaza in about 40 minutes via helicopter.”

“Where were the border agents or the drone reconnaissance?” He asked.

“Usually there's helicopters flying all over the place … But you're trying to tell me that the CIA, Mossad, Israeli intelligence, everybody missed this?”

He reminded his audience that, while the southern border of Mexico to the United States is almost 2000 miles long, the border of Gaza to Israel is merely around 40 miles.

“Israel cares about its border deeply. They work hard to secure it. They have billions of dollars of technology built completely and totally on border security. How did this happen?” He asked.

Kirk averred that Israel needs to figure out where the breakdown of their intelligence system was that allowed this attack to happen before enacting a ground invasion of Gaza and posited if they might be going into a trap with this plan.

“It's hard not to just be emotional with the suffering that is occurring right now in Israel,” he later continued. “These savage animals, in the name of Islam … said, ‘We have kidnapped the girls, we killed the ugly ones and we're raping the pretty ones.’ This is what you're dealing with. Quite quite a worldview.”

He said that it is “very hard for me to understand how Israel the most fortified country on the planet allows this to occur. Israel is the freest society in a desert of totalitarianism.”

The Israeli government is far from perfect… It's a very complicated country,” he continued, “but Israel has a right to exist and Israel has a right to defend itself.”

Kirk noted that “one of the reasons why Israel should have a right to defend itself is Israel is a civilized country. Hamas are a bunch of savage animals. And I hate to be that simple, or that black and white, but it really is that way.”

Speaking again of the attack at the Supernova music festival in which “260 young people were butchered, Kirk declared, “This is one of the bloodiest and deadliest days in all of Jewish history.”

“The Muslims that run Hamas are not going to stop until they believe they can kill every single Jew on the face of the earth. That is their goal. And now we're about to see a massive, massive war in the Middle East.”

Kirk shifted focus later in the show to address the disputing opinions of Americans who are asking how Israel is better than Hamas. He clarified that Israel “is telling people to leave the area they're about to bomb. They're sending leaflets and they're telling people to get out there giving people notice of where they're going to declare war.”

In contrast, he stated that Hamas did not give notice before their attack where they reportedly raped numbers of women noting that “rape at war is normative to the uncivilized.”

He noted that he hopes “Israel is surgical in their response… I hope they do not try to escalate this into a regional war.”

“My goodness, I stand with Israel personally,” Kirk concluded.
