POSOBIEC: The border crisis is a bigger problem than woke ideology

Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec slammed the crisis playing out at the US-Mexico border and how the influx of illegal immigrants into the country could prove fatal for the future of conservative values in the US.

Cutting through the semantic brush that has concealed what is really going on at the border, Posobiec referred to the situation as a “surge,” and perhaps more appropriately, an “invasion.” He goes on to assert that it is time to give the illegal immigration crisis the attention it deserves, as it foreshadows what the future of the country may hold.

“The conservative media spends so much time and energy focused on the woke ideology that they seem to think that that is the number one crisis in America, certainly facing our nation and also facing the conservative movement,” Posobiec said. He noted that he was not putting anyone specific on blast, as he admitted that he, too, spends a lot of time on the prevalence of woke ideology.

The podcast host continued by suggesting that woke ideology is not the most serious issue that is currently plaguing the US. While it is certainly a serious worry that woke ideology could be “enshrined in the US Constitution,” he noted that it would be even more frightening to see a day when the First Amendment no longer exists, which arguably could happen when one considers that municipalities have begun to allow election participation for non-citizens, an overwhelmingly left-wing voting block.

Though Posobiec conceded that Americans would not allow the First, Second, and Fourth Amendments to be thrown out, he rhetorically asked: “What happens if you allow millions of people into your country that, then, start voting for the liberal coalition? And then don’t support the same traditions, values, and ideals [as you]?”

“Well, that’s how you get wokeness forever.”

Some argue this occurs because E-Verify has not been made mandatory for all employers throughout the US, meaning illegal immigrants can come here and get plugged into a job without having to prove their legal residence.

Posobiec continued: “If you want a cohesive, harmonious society with a strong national identity and shared American values that we all agree to, then you can't allow the migrant crisis. And the longer conservatives continue to make wokeness the number one priority in America, [we will have to settle for] short-term victories.”

He characterized secondary conservative issues as rearguard actions, and he went on to say that these are okay to tackle, so long as conservatives understand they are secondary issues. But the migrant crisis “represents the potential elimination of the conservative movement, long-term, in America.”

Posobiec concluded: “At the end of the day, it's simple math, and the more millions of the global south that are let into the United States every single day, every single year, under this administration or any other administration, is going to continue the unraveling of our country and the unraveling of our system. America is not an idea. America is our home.”
