Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán triggered the Left, and even some of the more squeamish on the Right, when he delivered a speech last weekend wrongly construed as a paean for White Supremacy.

“The internationalist Left employs a feint, an ideological ruse: the claim – their claim – that Europe by its very nature is populated by peoples of mixed race. This is a historical and semantic sleight of hand, because it conflates two different things,”  Orbán said.

In making that statement, Orbán touched a third rail considered wholly off-limits in Western politics: he talked about race in a manner not approved by our globalist commissars.

“There is a world in which European peoples are mixed together with those arriving from outside Europe. Now that is a mixed-race world. And there is our world, where people from within Europe mix with one another, move around, work, and relocate. So, for example, in the Carpathian Basin we are not mixed-race: we are simply a mixture of peoples living in our own European homeland,” he stated.

“And, given a favorable alignment of stars and a following wind, these peoples merge together in a kind of Hungaro-Pannonian sauce, creating their own new European culture. This is why we have always fought: we are willing to mix with one another, but we do not want to become peoples of mixed-race. This is why we fought at Nándorfehérvár (Belgrade), this is why we stopped the Turks at Vienna, and – if I am not mistaken – this is why, in still older times – the French stopped the Arabs at Poitiers,” Orbán added.

European liberals predictably recoiled at Orbán's controversial sentiments on the race of his people. To them, the only permissible talk of race spouts from the mouths of gelded liberal whites when they bend the knee to violent supremacist movements like Black Lives Matter and issue obscene and inappropriate apologies for alleged sins of the past. This is even more apparent for Americans, who are regularly browbeaten over the historical atrocities of slavery, an institution used to justify every racial disparity under the sun. Americans have been trained through decades of concerted propaganda to run from any talk of race, even if it doesn't mention skin color specifically. Merely bringing up the concept, other than to grovel obsequiously, is construed by the Left as a major offense, one that invites castigation from polite society.

Promulgating the fact that America was founded as a nation by a core of European peoples who shared similar beliefs, customs, ideas on government, and a unified culture is considered taboo. Even a passing defense of our Anglo-Saxon heritage is enough to get you blacklisted among supposed hard-right conservatives in the U.S. Congress these days. Both Left and Right are guilty of stifling legitimate conversation on race. The Left, of course, gleefully babbles about the seemingly imminent destruction of Western Civilization, a wet dream for Marxists incubated in university thought prisons since the 1960s. The Right acquiesces to this agenda because their greedy corporate backers benefit from the influx of third-world labor and gain a temporary boost in profits from America's cultural erasure.

Despite this double blow from the American uniparty elites, there are American leaders who pose an existential threat to the system and flout its restrictive orthodoxies. The most notable one in America is former President Donald J. Trump. Trump has endorsed nationalism explicitly and regularly embraces rhetoric that causes country club Republicans to recoil. However, Trump is coarse and bellicose with his rhetoric, and his efforts are often counterproductive, as he often has the same interests in his ear that caused this mess in the first place. Another leader willing to broach these topics is Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who elucidates the America First ideology in a more cogent and controlled manner than Trump and who has emerged as the American Right's most prominent thought leader. Carlson is hamstrung by his Fox News contract as the organization scurries to the middle under new management, making him at least somewhat beholden to the system he rages against nightly in prime time.

This is why Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is such an important figure. He has, through a free, fair, and wholly legitimate electoral process, obtained authority and done so without compromising his ideological integrity. He targeted the subversive Soros-backed NGO network, the sort of organizations that backed the “2000 Mules” in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, essentially forcing them out of his country. Now, he is free to act in the interest of the Hungarian people with a truly democratic mandate behind him. Orbán's government is a people-powered response to the excesses of globalism, multiculturalism, and forced diversity, and he represents a movement that the globalists deem an existential threat to their hegemony.

When I spoke in favor of an American Orbánism at CPAC Hungary earlier this year, I was predictably derided as a fascist and a racist. Even more ridiculously, the Left slurred me as somehow unpatriotic. Giving praise to Orbán and saying we in America should emulate his movement made me anti-American. How dare I say that another country is promoting better policies than the American government? The Left expects me to live up to their crude caricature of the American conservative: a brainless, sycophantic peasant who waves the flag no matter what his country is doing – whether it is conducting senseless wars killing scores of innocents, giving children harmful drugs to prepare them for transgender mutilation, shutting down businesses and closing schools because of senseless virus hysteria, or anything else our government is now renowned for. I reject this mentality; it is the height of American patriotism in our present era to be ashamed of our national government and to demand its immediate reform.

When looking at Hungary, Americans find a nation that has not lost its will to fight, its will to preserve itself, and its will to persist for future generations. This is a nation that has repeatedly elected a leader who represents the best of their national values from a young age—one who put his life on the line to fight against communism and liberate his nation as a young student activist. Orbán has lived the struggle and forged his ideology throughout decades of experience, learning firsthand that laissez-faire neoliberalism may be best for the corporate elite, but it is not best for the people. The free market is a producer of wealth, but it can be a destroyer of virtue when not properly harnessed and guided. It cannot be the sole basis for maintaining a country. If it is, that country will dissolve into a glorified economic free zone rife with inequality and exploitation and homogenized with the remainder of the globalist domain.

Orbánism provides for economic freedom paired with a social and national obligation lacking in America. In our country, social liberalism has been fully embraced, and widespread pornography and LGBT acceptance have taken hold. Drug use has become trendy, whether it is prescription pills pushed by Big Pharma or the glorification of alcohol and marijuana pushed by the entertainment industry, with vulnerable youth unable to escape the grip of these massive corporate machines. The results have been dire, with anxiety, addiction, and suicidal inclinations now endemic among our youth. Our children are taught in their schools that murdering babies in the womb is the only right worth fighting for, with the notion of liberty understood by founding-era Americans of building a society centered around opportunity for families falling by the wayside.

This is exactly why it is necessary to discuss matters of race, culture, and nationalism actively and openly. The heresy that “America is an idea,” which has been eloquently dispelled by Carlson in recent weeks, is nearly as dangerous a notion as the Marxist ideology it unwittingly empowers. The ideas that underpinned America were developed by a people with a distinct culture and heritage which they maintained through generations of strife and perpetuated through ceaseless noble efforts. The English people fought and bled for the steep and unprecedented advancements in human freedom that were codified and expanded upon in the U.S. Constitution, from the Magna Carta in 1215 to the Petition of Right of 1628 to the Grand Remonstrance of 1641, and finally, to the English Bill of Rights of 1689. With so few native-born Americans understanding the history of our national origin, what hope is there for a newly-arrived migrant to gain this knowledge and fully realize its significance?

It is a comforting delusion that we as Americans can teach a Somali Muslim quaint notions of liberty, but it is more likely they will find common cause with the vendetta-driven socialism of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar than unfamiliar and alien nodes of thought undergirding their host nation. The rising violence rates in newly sub-Saharan Minneapolis reflect that fully. A Honduran arriving to American shores via a well-funded caravan is more than likely to continue the pattern of taking the largesse provided to them under the guise of humanitarian relief, particularly considering that society provides every incentive for that individual to behave in such a manner. Democrats understand the implications of America’s demographic shift and brag about their success in changing our DNA when they are not calling Republicans racist for noticing. Too many conservatives have slurped up the Koch-funded kool-aid and refuse to see the reality staring them in the face.

There is no easy solution to these problems. The civilizational decline is difficult to reverse, and our downward spiral is hastening severely under the Biden White House. The only lasting and sustainable solution is American Orbánism. It is a national policy that incentivizes natalism. It is populist America First conservatives rejecting the free-market orthodoxy pushed by the astroturfed network of oligarch think tanks and the economists and politicians on their payroll. It is taking a hard-line position against subversive organizations funded by the Radical Left, from the Open Society Foundations to Southern Poverty Law Center to the ACLU and everything in between, and revoking their tax-exempt status and illicit authority. It is forming the new institutions that provide the infrastructure to unwind the failed Leftist power structure.

Our mission begins on the individual level by talking candidly about uncomfortable issues such as race, culture, nationalism, and the reality of the demographic winter upon us. We have much to learn from our Hungarian brethren. Let us start by appropriating their courage to speak freely.
