The Senate voted to repeal the Biden administration’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate requiring private businesses with more than 100 employees to get vaccinated, succumb to weekly testing or be fired.
The final vote count on Wednesday was 52 to 48, with unanimous support from Republicans along with Democratic Sens. Jon Tester and Joe Manchin.
As reported by Just the News, the vaccine mandate affects more than 80 million Americans and would impose a $14,000 fine on those who do not comply.
The bill will head to the House, where it is expected to face a difficult struggle to pass.
