HarperCollins Publishers canceled plans to release Chris Cuomo’s book amid controversies that led to his removal from CNN.

A spokesperson for the company’s Custom House Imprint confirmed the decision Tuesday following a report that a listing for the hardcover was recently removed from the Amazon website, the New York Post reports

“I can confirm that we don’t intend to publish the book,” spokesperson Kelly Rudolph said.

A publishing-industry source also said: “This is why contracts have a morals clause. He lost his platform and his credibility.”

Cuomo’s planned book, “Deep Denial,” was set for release in October but had its publication date pushed back to January and then to October, per the Publishers Marketplace website.

The book boasted “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America - about our strength and our character - and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.”
