A federal appeals court handed a win to Texas, upholding Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy.

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton granted a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit brought by attorneys general for Texas and Louisiana, according to Just the News.

The lawsuit was filed after Biden announced in January that he terminated the policy. However, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas officially ended it in June.

Mayorkas said the policy “does not adequately or sustainably enhance border management in such a way as to justify the program’s extensive operational burdens and other shortfalls.”
