Two men have been arrested after a “machete brawl” in Truro, England, left three people injured, including one man who suffered a potentially serious injury. Armed officers raced to Calenick Street at around 1:45 pm Monday after Devon and Cornwall Police received reports of a large fight involving a “bladed article.” The men have been identified as Sinjar Zurel, 27, and Seyin Zurel, 24.

Three men were injured in the incident. One suffered a “potentially serious injury,” although police said the injury was not considered life-threatening or life-changing. Two other men sustained minor injuries, report Daily Mail.

Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remained in police custody Tuesday. Footage taken by a bystander appears to show several men involved in a brawl before a man runs out of a premises wielding a long-bladed weapon. The man then appears to attack another man.

A witness can be heard saying, “Oh my God, bro's hit him with a machete.” A second man is also seen in the footage hitting and kicking a man who is on the ground. Police have not confirmed that the weapon was a machete, referring to it as a “bladed article.”

The force said those involved are believed to have known each other and stressed that there is “no wider threat to the public.” A scene guard was put in place on Calenick Street while police investigated the incident. Authorities are appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant footage of the fight. Police said they are aware of footage circulating on social media.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Devon and Cornwall Police on 101, quoting reference number 50260226230.
