Rep. Allen West (R-FL) spoke at the March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Monday, and delivered a remarkably potent speech. He was primarily reading the words of others, but he chose them well, and delivered them with clarity and power.
Reagan spoke for the ages when he said, “We cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live, and should be abandoned to abortion or infanticide.”
I might even shorten that quote to make another point about the current crisis: “We cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit.” That’s the enduring lesson of the Obama “transformation.” We will henceforth receive bulletins from the central State listing the aspirations we are not allowed to hold, and the consequences we will not be permitted to suffer. The list will grow forever longer… if we don’t start tearing it up.
