SUMMARY: Incumbent Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet is in trouble on two fronts. There is a strong Democratic challenge from former state House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, as well as from the state’s Republican Lt. Gov. Jane Norton, who faces two lesser-known GOP rivals, including Weld County District Attorney Ken Buck. Buck scored a narrow win in the March 16 county caucuses and recently picked up the endorsement of South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, an influential conservative.
