Gov. Mitch Daniels of Indiana emerged as a national leader against the Democrats’ cap and tax legislation and authored the Wall Street Journal op ed, "Indiana Says ‘No Thanks’ to Cap and Trade." He gave a very strong speech (see video below) at an energy summit Wednesday in Indianapolis. The summit was part of a National Energy Tour sponsored by Rep. Mike Pence’s American Energy Solutions Group, which hosted three energy summits - in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and California - over three days. The purpose of the tour was to get Americans’ input on how to solve the country’s energy problems.
“I truly believe the best ideas in America do not come from Washington, DC, but come from places like Indianapolis, and that is why we are here today,” Pence said in his opening remarks.
