On April 25th, 2026, President Donald J. Trump completed a feat that no president in history will seek to replicate ever again: He became the first United States President to survive not one, not two, but three assassination attempts. As Trump was planning to enjoy a night of self-deprecatory humor and poke fun at his, let's say, strained relationship with the American mainstream media, a violent leftist attempted to charge through the event's security and let shots ring out at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
The would-be assassin, Cole Thomas Allen, had written a crazed, leftist-political driven manifesto that stated he had planned to target and kill multiple members of the Trump Administration and had been sent to several of Allen's family members before the incident on Saturday.
This past weekend has served as a reminder and dark message to President Trump, the Republican Party, and conservatives all around the country: It is no longer feasible to act as if violent leftism is an abnormality. It is the Democratic Party's last, frantic approach to derail the man and movement that they cannot defeat at the ballot box or in the courtroom. We must recognize the dangerous escalation and prepare to defend ourselves and our values.
Besides some lower court federal judges delaying Trump's inevitable policies, the left has exhausted every attempt in judicial and electoral warfare. Whether it be two impeachment cases, election interference, propaganda by the mainstream media, "No Kings" rallies, or demonizing Trump's movement as fascist, the progressive leftists of the Democratic Party have used every single metric available to them to try to defeat Trump to no avail.
Now, over the last three years, we have seen leftists try to murder the president in cold blood on his own property, during a campaign speech, and now in Washington, D.C. As they exhausted every option in culture, in media, and in the courts, the only option these crazed radicals feel is open to them is literal elimination.
The escalation by Trump's enemies on the left comes as no real surprise. After over a decade of making the two-time President out to be an autocratic dictator, we were bound to witness these kinds of attacks by the far left. The terms they use and the violent rhetoric that is directed towards Trump conservatives have been building and building since he came down the golden escalator all the way back in 2015.
It should be to nobody's surprise that after the culmination of that time span, someone has tried to kill Trump as many times as they have, or that they ended up assassinating the voice of Trump's movement and our friend, Charlie Kirk. What needs to happen now is a recognition of who conservatives are up against, and why we have to be ready to fight our battles and ensure that policy is implemented that gives back to America and its people.
The modern American left and the Democratic Party no longer care about our political system. They preach democracy, but only when it produces Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, or Barack Obama. When it produces Trump, JD Vance, or Marco Rubio, they resort to violence and a demonization of their opposition so they can justify supporting assassination attempts.
These same people who rooted for the Antifa riots, the BLM movement, and open borders now are defending this attempt, joking about it, and even calling the assassination attempt staged. The attempts to say the attempted killing was fake means one thing and one thing only: The left is mad that the attempt on Trump and his Administration's lives was not successful, so they are going to pitch a fit and call it fake. Multiple social media posts from leftists sad the president is not dead attest to this.
The worst outcome of this assassination attempt is its normalization. It seems as if many people are not even surprised by it or shocked by it because they are used to this from the crazed progressives in this country. They are used to the Tyler Robinsons, Ryan Rouths, Matthew Crooks, and now the Cole Thomas Allens of this country being subhuman scum that we are forced to share America with.
What conservatives need to know is that the resilience shown by people like President Trump, JD Vance, and Erika Kirk is the same energy we must unite around. The left has lost the plot, and their last hope is violence, but together, we can stand strong and put America First.
