The liberal press, joined by Rep. John Murtha (D.-Pa.), is doing everything it can to judge, without trial, the U.S. Marines involved in an incident in Haditha, Iraq, where as many as 24 Iraqi non-combatants may have been shot dead, after a Marine was killed by an IED. The Defense Department is still conducting its criminal investigation, and no Marine has been indicted.
If you read all the way to paragraph 10 of the March 19 article in Time Magazine that broke the story, you will find these words: "The available evidence does not provide conclusive proof that the Marines deliberately killed innocents in Haditha."
