Former Yonkers Mayor and GOP Senate hopeful John Spencer recently snagged his second endorsement from a U.S. Congressman, as Rep. John Sweeney (R.-N.Y.) announced his support. The other federal representative to officially endorse Spencer is Rep. Vito Fossella (R-NY).

"John Spencer is a true Republican in the mold of Ronald Reagan, Dennis Vacco and George Pataki(!)," said Sweeney.

For those who have no idea who Dennis Vacco is, he was New York's Attorney General in the late 1990s, and he recently has been under suspicion for violating the state's lobbying laws.

Sweeney continued: "He is a terrific candidate for the United States Senate and he is the only candidate of capable of uniting the Republican and Conservative parties to defeat Senator Clinton."  Sweeney has recently run into some bad press for attending a frat party last month.
