Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) visited some red states on a week-long fundraising tour, calling for an end to the "culture of corruption."

The Deseret News, meanwhile, reported that when asked by reporters why they were barred from hearing him speak at a fundraiser, Reid said, "Nothing dealing with the government was going on there. I was hustling money." Earlier Reid said he had spoken at the private event about the need for transparency by government officials.
