The Republican National Committee has unveiled a new feature on its website that will track Democrat senators’ position on Samuel Alito’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.

Visitors to the website will be able to click on a state to find out whether the Democrat senator stands with Alito - or with Senators Teddy Kennedy and Chuck Schumer and Howard Dean.

“Democrats in the Senate Judiciary Committee embarrassed themselves last week by attempting to smear a good man with outlandish accusations,” RNC Chairman Ken Mehlman said.  “Americans deserve to know if their Senator is embracing the tactics of Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer and Howard Dean, or if they are standing with the clearly qualified Judge Samuel Alito.”

The website is located at www.gop.com/DemocratsonAlito.
