Steven Thomma of Knight Ridder Newspapers appropriately reports today that on the day Democrats unveiled their ethics reform proposal they also made a fund-raising pitch to their constituents.
Four paragraphs into Thomma's piece, he writes:
"As if to underscore how some things would remain the same, Democrats later Wednesday used their reform agenda as the key to a new fundraising pitch to supporters, seeking contributions of $35 to $500."
