A new website, www.DraftNovello.com, has suddenly appeared on the Internet to boost the possibility that the former U.S. surgeon general and current state Health Commissioner Dr. Antonia Novello will run against Hillary this year.
It is not clear by searching the site just who is responsible for its contents or who launched it. The site contains an interesting side-by-side comparison of Dr. Novello and Hillary, and points out that the two differ on abortion and government-run health care, but evidently agree on gay marriage (both oppose).
At the same time the website appeared, New York Gov. George Pataki said publicly that Novello would be “strong candidate if she chose to run” against Sen. Clinton.
