The Hotline published Tuesday that when asked about potential female 2008 running mates, Sen. John McCain (R.-Ariz) named Secretary of State Condi Rice and centrist Sen. Olympia Snowe from Maine. Rice doesn't seem likely as she has consistently declined questions about a higher office and choosing Snowe, who earned a 100% pro-choice voting record from NARAL in 2004 wouuld surely alienate conservative voters. But, it could be a part of McCain's strategy to appeal to conservatives and liberals. Eek. ..If only we could vote him in on spending and spending alone. Drats, drats, drats!
