A movement spearheaded by Michigan State students last year to strip Zimbabwean dictator Robert Mugabe of the 1990 honorary degree bestowed to him by their university has been picked up by more than 600 students at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. The MSU students created www.mugabe.org and brought their concerns to the board of trustees and student government.

Last week, Edinburgh students on behalf of their own Student Association moved a motion to pressure officials to revoke a similar honor Mugabe received from their institution in 1984. You can listen Student Association President Ruth Cameron explain why here.
