Internet Fun.
The Hill newspaper reports that Sen. Clinton’s new website is inadvertently leading her supporters to an Internet porn site. The real website offers coffee mugs and signed copies of her memoir in return for campaign donations, and encourages supporters to join "Hill’s Angels." But if one searches for that phrase on the Internet, one finds a site devoted to "fetishistic worship" of the scantily clad women featured on the famous British comedian Benny Hill’s television show. The senator’s staff seems ignorant of the fact that they may be leading supporters to a risqu??© website. Patti Solis Doyle, executive director of HILLPAC, told The Hill she hopes the Internet will play "a big part" in the 2006 Senate campaign and thinks "lots of people will respond." It remains to be seen which website Bill Clinton will be visiting.

Hill Causes Delay.
The New York Post reported that Sen. Clinton kept an American Airlines passenger plane on the ground for 90 minutes because she couldn’t make it to the airport on time. According to the Post, "the flight out of JFK the other night sat on the tarmac without explanation until an hour and a half after the scheduled departure time." Some passenger in first class found out the reason for the delay when an "unapologetic Hillary Clinton and her entourage of flunkies and bodyguards hurried onto the plane so she could make it to a book signing for Living History." The delay is reminiscent of when newly elected President Bill Clinton held up air traffic at Los Angeles International Airport for two hours while he sat on Air Force One getting a $200 haircut from stylist Cristophe. A spokesman for American Airlines denied that Hillary was responsible for the flight’s delay. But according to Newsmax.com, the episode isn’t the first time Hillary has demanded the royal treatment while flying. In July 2001, MSNBC "Hardball" host Chris Matthews was on a flight with Sen. Clinton, and witnessed firsthand the entourage that accompanies her wherever she goes. Taxpayers may be interested to learn whether they are footing the bill for Hillary’s regal treatment.

Giving Bush Hell.
Speaking of her book tour, Hillary made a stop this week in Kansas City to promote Living History. Over 1,200 people showed up to get their books signed and to hear Hillary say something, anything. And she didn’t disappoint. She said President Harry Truman would never have spent time "dancing around for weeks over 16 words in a State of the Union speech the way the current incumbent did." Then she blasted the administration for a perceived "effort to intimidate people. His idea that if you raise questions about the administration’s policies, you’re somehow unpatriotic is very dangerous. I think this administration lives in an evidence-free zone." Hill touched on the 2004 race, saying that she is "going to be working for whoever emerges from the process [the primaries]," and that she supports California Gov. Gray Davis in his recall battle. She even joked a bit. When asked which of the Bush Administration’s policies disturb her the most, she replied. "they’re all pretty disturbing." She went on to say that President Bush "threw away the best economy our country’s ever had. They gave up the???fiscal responsibility in the federal budget, led us back into huge deficits and increasing debt, which will undermine America’s competitive advantage???and the number and quality of jobs we can attract and keep in our country."

Most Admired Woman in China.
Hillary obviously has a large fan base here in the United States. What is less known is that she is also admired in Communist China. Her ability to win public opinion with "little or no substance and no reasoning" has been recommended as a model for the Chinese Communist Party cadres. Yu Quanyu, the director of the press and media institute at Beijing’s Academy of Social Sciences, picked Hillary as a shining example of a successful manipulative orator, for apparatchiks to follow. The accolade, which was printed in an article in Ideological and Political Work Studies in 1998, appears to be the result of Hillary’s tireless but seemingly effortless ability to repair her and her husband’s scandal-plagued fortunes by blaming America’s "vast right-wing conspiracy." The Chi Coms are especially impressed with the way Hillary is able to paint all of her opponents and critics as merely Republican extremists, thereby denying them any credibility whatsoever.
