Youth Leadership School Offers Political Workshop The Leadership Institute offers training workshops around the country this summer and fall. Known as the "boot-camp of politics," the LI training seminars assist conservative students in cultivating political careers. Founded in 1979 by Morton C. Blackwell, the Leadership Institute is the oldest and most-respected training organization for conservative leaders at the local, state and national levels. Over the years, more than 31,000 of today’s conservative "movers and shakers" have turned to the Leadership Institute for their training needs. Here’s the schedule of forthcoming workshops:

  • July 12-13 in Arlington, Va.
  • September 20-21 in Memphis, Tenn.
  • September 27-28 in Orlando, Fla.
  • October 4-5 in Syracuse, N.Y.
  • October 11-12 in Davis, Calif.
  • October 17-18 in Logan, Utah
  • November 8-9 in East Lansing, Mich.
  • November 15-16 in Minneapolis, Minn.
  • Most political conferences are filled with the same stale, unconnected, "feel-good" speeches on a variety of topics. The Youth Leadership School is designed for serious people interested in being leaders and making a difference. If you’re serious about being an effective leader, the Youth Leadership School will help you:

  • Launch a successful career in politics
  • Develop a nationwide network of conservative friends
  • Earn a reputation for getting things done
  • Build an effective student organization
  • Use the media to get your message out
  • To register for the Youth Leadership School in your area call CLP at 800-827-5323 today. You can also get more information about the Campus Leadership Program, of which the Youth Leadership School is a part, by visiting their website: www.campusleadership.org. Don’t forget to check out the Youth Leadership counterpart, the Grassroots Activist School. AIM Holds Conservative University For Students "Reclaiming America on Campus" is the theme for next month’s Accuracy in Academia’s Conservative University, to be held at Georgetown University from July 17-20 in Washington, D.C. Join like-minded men and women from around the country, as well as some of the brightest thinkers in America today, for a discussion of free market and traditionalist perspectives on history, philosophy, law, foreign policy, feminism, government, and economics that are too often excluded from our colleges and universities. AIA’s Conservative University provides an alternative to the liberalism of contemporary universities that all too often neglects or distorts conservative ideas and viewpoints in the classroom. Conservative University redresses this failure of our academic institutions by providing conservative and libertarian perspectives on a variety of topics. The CU faculty includes author Dan Flynn, history scholar Burt Folsom, World Net Daily founder Joseph Farah, and over a dozen of the conservative movement’s most enlightened writers, leaders, and scholars. This year’s program will feature: Howard Phillips, Chairman of the Conservative Caucus; Donald Boudreaux, Chairman of the Economics Department at George Mason University; Sara Russo, acting Executive Director of AIA; and Elaine Donnelly, President of the Center for Military Readiness, and other conservative activists. Tuition is only $79 for students (under age 30) who sign up by July 7, and covers lectures, housing, meals (from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon), and a free book. Students over age 30 are welcome to attend at the $79 rate but must provide their own housing accommodations. To register or inquire for additional information, contact Sara Russo at 800-787-0429 or by e-mail at [email protected].
