As France faces a Titanic-level fiasco, French President Emmanuel Macron assured the public that his heart would go on, regardless of whatever fate befell the nation.

Viral videos showed Macron attending a Celine Dion concert Friday in Paris, despite the capital city and many others being on the brink of burning down with riots, fueled largely by Muslim immigrants, now in their third week.

British anti-immigration leader Tommy Robinson was among those who slammed the French president over his backward priorities.

But according to Gala, a French lifestyle magazine, Dion’s 16th Parisian performance was a “spectacular return that seduced the stars and that Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron could not miss.”

On Saturday, one of the ongoing riots’ most destructive days to date resulted in widespread devastation, including damage to historic sites like the 143-year-old town hall in Limoges.

As the mob closed in on the Palais de l'Élysée, the official residence of the French president, rumors swirled that Macron may have fled to a €150 million luxury bunker.

Prior to returning for the performance, Macron spent Thursday night and Friday in Brussels, Belgium, attending a European Council meeting, Fox News reported.

While in Brussels at a news conference, he urged “calm and respect” from the rioters in his home country.

On Sunday, Macron was due to depart again for a diplomatic tour of the Middle East.

Prior to that, he delivered an address to the nation in which he puzzled over the motives of the rioters an appeared to blame US President Donald Trump for invading Iran.

“These protesters expressed concern about the cost of living and the price of fuel, which stem from the conflict in the Persian Gulf in which France did not participate and whose consequences we are suffering,” Macron said, according to an AI translation from the original French.

“I completely understand their concern,” he added. “It is also expressed in several other capitals in Europe.”
