Posobiec pointed to Shapiro’s recent remarks about two deaths supposedly connected to a measles outbreak in Pennsylvania, arguing that the governor was attempting to pin the deaths on Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump, and the MAHA agenda.
But Posobiec said local officials in Lancaster County, home to the largest Amish settlement in the United States, disputed Shapiro’s characterization of the deaths. Posobiec noted Lancaster County officials had no evidence that the deaths were caused by measles. He specifically pointed to the death of an infant who had measles but died after suffering a ruptured spleen. “And just because the infant had measles at the time, Josh Shapiro said it was from measles, but this wasn’t true,” Posobiec said.
He further alleged that Shapiro’s office was informed of the local officials’ findings before the governor publicly discussed the deaths. Posobiec also accused Shapiro of exploiting the outbreak for political purposes, suggesting that the governor is positioning himself for a potential 2028 presidential campaign while preparing to run for reelection in Pennsylvania. “He’s trying to start a measles panic to swing the midterms,” Posobiec said.
He said that Shapiro is attempting to establish himself as a national Democratic figure aligned with the pharmaceutical industry and vaccine mandates. “He is going to be the candidate of big pharma. He’s going to be the president of vaccines,” Posobiec said. “He’s going to be the president of the science.”
Posobiec also recalled Shapiro’s past legal battle involving the Little Sisters of the Poor over Obamacare’s contraception mandate, using it to accuse the governor of disregarding religious freedom. “Understand what he’s doing, folks. He’s demonizing the Amish,” Posobiec said. “He’s demonizing the unvaccinated. He’s demonizing religious freedom, and he’s demonizing medical freedom, and he doesn’t even have the facts on his side.”
“Bobby Kennedy is out there telling the truth and local officials are now pushing back because this angry little elf is trying to hurt people and demonize others to further his own political career yet again,” Posobiec concluded.
