The unnamed man criticized institutions including the European Union, NGOs, and religious organizations, claiming they had been “hijacked” by what he referred to as “globalists.” He also said that emerging financial technologies such as digital wallets and digital currency systems were part of a broader system of control, calling them “the market of the devil" as is described in Revelation.
Posobiec responded at several points, including agreeing with some of the man's assessments and prompting him on the direction of the protest . The man described plans for mass mobilization. He also made comments about political legitimacy, saying that governments and institutions were not properly elected or representative, and accusing them of operating under external influence.
"NGOs, you know. They bought everybody over. The church. The whole lot of the work for these corrupt people. You know what I mean? They're not politicians. They're fraudulently there. They were never elected properly in the first place. The criminals. They're with the devil, Satan. The Antichrist. That's why they're trying to bring in this digital wallet now. The people wake up and start bouncing what they're up to. They're trying to kill us all," he said.
The man concluded on religion, saying Christian faith would ultimately prevail: "That's why the Muslims are here now. To kill us. That's why they're in America. Paying for the boats and the planes for them to come here. They're going to go at us all. But they're not going to win. We know who's going to win. Jesus Christ is going to win."
The interaction took place during wider protests where farmers, transport workers, and other demonstrators had been involved in blockades and demonstrations over the high cost of living and rising fuel prices.
Authorities had been working to clear blockades in several locations, including major urban centers.
