President Donald Trump outlined a potential timeline for the war with Iran on Sunday, stating in an interview with The Daily Mail that the conflict is expected to last “four weeks or so” and could conclude even sooner. “It's always been a 4 week process."

"We figured it will be 4 weeks or so. It's always been about a 4 week process so - as strong as it is, it's a big country, it'll take 4 weeks or less,” Trump said, signaling that military planners have operated under a defined timeframe from the outset.

On February 28, Human Events first reported that the campaign in Iran would last four weeks.

Regarding the strikes on Iran, Trump said he has not been surprised by the outcomes so far. “No, I think it's going as per planned. You know, other that we took out their entire leadership - far, far more than what we thought. Looks like 48,” he said, referring to senior members of Iran’s leadership who were reportedly killed.

Trump also spoke about diplomatic engagement, saying he remains open to talks with Iran but could not specify when they might occur. “I don't know. They want to, they want to talk, but I said you should have talked last week not this week,” he said.

The president said he had spoken with leaders from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, and others in the region. He also indicated he may address the American public directly, but did not provide timing.
