The view from Bulgaria continues to get even more interesting every day as we watch the Democratic Party throw itself into freefall. Chuck Schumer, terrified of being primaried by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is running scared, fueling a government shutdown and blaming Republicans for a mess his own party created. It is pure political theater, and the audience is starting to see through it.
When Democrats are not paralyzing the Senate, they are trying to drag "civil society" into their latest survival crusade by rebranding their power grab as some noble mission to "save democracy." But let's be honest, the Left has always been more about control than freedom. The same people who spent years weaponizing the justice system, censoring speech, and using activist judges to block a sitting president now claim to be defending democracy. Give me a break.
Their latest melodrama, "No Kings," is the newest act in the same tired production. It is a marketing campaign to repackage their rage against Donald Trump into a moral cause. They cannot win on ideas, so they peddle hysteria, calling Trump an autocrat, a self-proclaimed monarch, and a threat to the Republic. Funny thing, though, if Trump really were a dictator, they would not be able to block his executive orders, slow-walk his nominations, or openly defy him in blue-state governments. What we are witnessing is not tyranny; it is the Left's identity crisis.
Democrats are fractured and desperate after their humiliating losses. The only thing holding their coalition together is a shared hatred of one man. "Orange Man Bad" has become their religion and "No Kings" their prayer. It is lazy politics built on resentment, not results.
Meanwhile, the so-called "autocrat" they despise is doing what every American president should be doing: fighting for peace, prosperity, and the average working man. While the media screams "dictator," Trump is ending wars, brokering peace, and restoring fairness to global trade. The first term proved it, and the second one is cementing it. The Left sees chaos, but I see order returning to a world that lost its moral compass under Obama and Biden.
Trump's foreign policy has been about one thing: peace through strength. He has achieved more genuine diplomatic victories than any president since Reagan. Instead of wasting trillions on forever wars, Trump focuses on economic realism, cheap energy, fair trade, and secure borders. That is what puts American workers first. It is what lifts families out of debt, rebuilds manufacturing, and gives our middle class a fighting chance again.
Contrast that with the Obama-Biden years, when billions were funneled into foreign wars while Americans drowned in student loans and mortgage debt. The so-called "defenders of democracy" enriched the military-industrial complex and their friends at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. Biden's own Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin, literally came from Raytheon. Of course, he wants to sell more missiles. Peace does not pad the stock portfolio.
And that is the dirty little secret: peace is bad for business if you are part of the establishment. The military-industrial complex, the intelligence bureaucracy, the global NGOs, and the "Open Society" networks all thrive on conflict. They need tension, fear, and perpetual instability to justify their power and budgets. Trump threatens that entire racket by simply doing what is right, seeking peace.
Peace means fewer arms deals, fewer CIA operations disguised as "democracy promotion," and fewer grants to activists who chant "Free Palestine" while waving the same slogans as "No Kings." When there is peace, nations focus on energy, industry, and fair competition, the building blocks of prosperity. That is bad news for the elites but great news for the rest of us.
For American workers and industry worldwide, Trump's peace agenda means more jobs, reshoring, and lower energy costs in the coming AI-driven economy. For global citizens, it means fewer wars, fewer refugees, and fewer broken nations. That is the real humanitarian policy, not the endless interventionism of Washington insiders.
So let the media keep crying "autocrat." History will remember Donald J. Trump not as a tyrant but as the one world leader who fought for peace and won. The man who refused to bow to the globalists, who put his country first, and who never quit, even when the entire establishment tried to break him.
When the dust settles, there will be no kings, elites, or puppet masters pulling strings. Only one thing will remain: peace through American strength. I, for one, as a Bulgarian, appreciate what American strength on the world stage produces.
