“I support my hometown ICE raids,” Posobiec said. “We’ve been waiting 20 years to get these invaders out of my town.” He noted that the show had hosted the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security the day before, unaware that the raids were already underway. “Fire up the go-back mobile,” he added. “I want them out. I want them gone.”
Posobiec also criticized Rachel Rutter, a progressive activist who witnessed the raid and shared her experience online. “She was flailing about… screaming,” he said, referencing her Substack post. Quoting her article, he read, “‘I saw military-style ICE raid first-hand. It’s only going to get worse. ICE is coming for our neighbors.’” Posobiec responded directly: “No, you’re aiding and abetting an illegal invasion. If you’re helping them, maybe you should be arrested too.”
The raid took place Wednesday morning at the West Norriton Farmers Market, where federal agents executed a court-authorized search warrant at the Super Gigante grocery store.
According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), 14 individuals without legal status were taken into custody and are now facing removal proceedings.
Officials said the operation was carried out by ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, and the IRS. The agency confirmed that those detained were discovered during the lawful execution of the warrant.
Carlos Obrador, head consul of the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia, said that at least six of the individuals arrested are Mexican nationals. “Regardless of their immigration status, people have basic rights,” Obrador said, reminding detainees they can request to speak with their consulate.
Local advocacy group Unides Para Servir Norristown also criticized the raid, calling it an “intimidation tactic.” Executive Director Denisse Agurto claimed that 23 individuals—not 14—were arrested and said over 25 ICE vehicles were present.
“We can see the pattern,” she said. “They gather together, then they come out in Norristown.”
Unides Para Servir said their rapid response team began observing the scene around 7 am after spotting unmarked law enforcement vehicles in a nearby parking lot.
