Human Events is excited to announce that columnist Kenny Cody has been hired as our new Opinion Editor. Kenny will aid in managing our opinion editorial page and focus on a range of topics, from national politics, American conservative values, MAGA conservatism, and more.

Cody, a native East Tennesseean from Cosby, Tennessee, is deeply rooted in his community. He serves as the Cocke County Republican Party Chairman and wears many hats locally, including that of a teacher and coach for the community's students. However, over the last few years, he is most known for his role as a firebrand political commentator, activist, and writer.

Since 2020, Cody has written for various conservative publications and served as a central young voice of the MAGA movement.

He joined Human Events as a contributor in 2023 and has become one of the website's most popular writers for his columns on Donald Trump, national politics, and populist issues surrounding American culture.

For his work, Cody has been recognized by influential figures such as Roger Stone, Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec, and most impressively, President Donald Trump on numerous occasions. President Trump even cited Cody's columns as "Really Smart!" in during the 2024 Presidential Election cycle.

In reflecting on his new position, Cody stated, "I am so honored to be joining the best conservative publication in our great nation, Human Events, as Opinion Editor. I want to thank Jack Posobiec, Libby Emmons, and so many others for this incredible opportunity."

Cody stated he is committed to helping Human Events grow and become a significant force in American conservative media, and to continue to thrive.

"Human Events is growing exponentially every day, and I want to help facilitate that growth in this new era of alternative media. There are more voices and different perspectives in the conservative sphere than there ever have been, and I want to help to continue making Human Events a central part of American political commentary."
