El Salvador President Nayib Bukele suggests that jailing Trump will lead to more support, votes

El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, which was released on Wednesday.

During the groundbreaking conversation, Carlson asked the president, "What advice would you give to another former democratically elected leader seeking office who is facing jail time?"

"Anyone, if there was someone," Carlson added.

Bukele responded: "I mean, if there was a way to stop the candidacy, then he's probably in trouble. But if there's no way to stop him from competing in the election, all the things that they do to him will just give him more votes."

"That seems to be happening," Carlson said, seemingly pointing to the situation President Donald Trump is facing in the United States after his conviction.

"You're making him the greatest campaign ever," Bukele responded. "They're making a huge mistake."

He contemplated that "some people" probably do know this, but he insinuated they would continue with the legal warfare for an ego boost.

Bukele was reelected as El Salvador's president in February by a landslide after he was successful in mass incarcerating gangs that had run rampant in the country for decades. He praised God after he was victorious and has since been cracking down on corruption within his government. Right after he was elected, he spoke to a group of American patriots at CPAC, declaring globalist elites must be "unapologetically" fought against.
