A major conduit for aid going from Israel into Gaza was closed Sunday after Hamas fired rockets that killed 4 IDF soldiers and seriously injured at least three others.

Hamas terrorists fired 10 rockets at the Kerem Shalom area along the Israel-Gaza border on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Jerusalem Post, 10 people who were wounded in the attack, including three in serious condition, two in moderate condition, and five in light condition, were sent to Soroka Medical Center.

Several people were treated for injuries at the scene and were later sent to hospitals for medical attention.

Following the attack, the Israel Defense Forces closed the Kerem Shalom crossing which stopped the entry of humanitarian aid trucks. The crossing is the main entry point for aid going to Gaza.

The murdered soldiers were identified as St.-Sgt. Ruben Marc Mordechai Assouline, 19, St.-Sgt. Ido Testa, 19, and St.-Sgt. Tal Shavit, 21 and Sgt. Michael Ruzal, 18.

At least one ambulance and a home in Kibbutz Kerem Shalom were also hit and damaged by the rocket fire.

Shortly after the attack, Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket fire, saying that their Al-Qassam Brigades targeted the Kerem Shalom area with Rajoum rockets.

Hamas launched the attack while Israel was awaiting a response from the terrorist group to the latest ceasefire proposal.

In response, the IDF retaliated against Hamas command centers and other targets in nearby Rafah, the last remaining Hamas stronghold in Gaza.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog posted on X, "Hamas attack humanitarian aid because they don’t care for humanity. The world must act to release the hostages and free the people of Gaza from Hamas’s vicious rule."
