Why are they “idiots”? They have no understanding of history; no concept of Hamas or their goals and values; and deny even the most basic facts about what is actually going on in the world.
These demonstrators are chanting for a “free Palestine”, yet are totally unaware that there is no such thing as “Palestine” historically, culturally, or in any other way. There are no “Palestinians”: the great grandparents of those living in Gaza called themselves “Egyptians”, while the ones living in the West Bank any time before the mid-20th century called themselves “Jordanians”. “Palestine” was a 20th century mandate of the British, and then a mandate of Jordan, which controlled the area from 1948-1967. But these demonstrators are ignorant of the history, and fully believe the propaganda they have been fed since 1964 when a New York public relations firm helped create the P.L.O.
These demonstrators make claims about wanting a free state of"Palestine" and how they want to just co-exist with Israel side by side; yet Gaza has rejected a 2 state solution when offered 5 different times since 2007. More importantly, the Covenant of 1988, the charter of Hamas, is very clear that they will never accept any a “Zionist” state; and their goal is to reinstate the Caliphate of Sharia law in the region. In their opening paragraphs they state, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist only until Islam will entirely obliterate it”. This Covenant specifically calls for the obliteration of all Jews multiple times, including in Article 7, “"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Moslems fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Moslems, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.” Since some of these protestors claim to be Jewish, they must think that for some reason they would be excluded from this Jewish purge? Given that Sharia law demands the execution of homosexuals, do those Jewish gay college students for "Palestine" and “queers for Palestine” not realize that if Hamas had its way, they would be dead multiple times over? As for the drag queen bearded “rabbi” in Minnesota screaming at Biden for a ceasefire: if this person got their way and was actually in the Palestinian territories, there could be a bidding war between Hamas soldiers as to who would get to torture and kill such a character first. When we watch long haired UCLA co-eds strike a pinata of Prime Minister Netanyahu and chant “beat the f-ing Jew”, it is obvious that they are ignorant that while Israel is one of the most accepting societies in the history of the world; in palestine, these young women would be unable to attend school without male permission.
As much as I don’t like the term, these demonstrators are really demonstrating their ignorance and idiocy.
But they are useful tools for the hate-filled Muslim Brotherhood, whom Hamas attached itself to in the Covenant’s Article 1. These demonstrators are valuable weapons in the propaganda campaign that is successfully being waged in the attempt to replace Western culture with a theocratic caliphate. Most importantly, their constant demonstrating is successfully applying pressure on politicians to stop supporting Israel and push for a ceasefire. Even Hamas leadership has publicly admitted that they intend to attack Israel in perpetuity, and any ceasefire is just an opportunity for Hamas to re-arm so that they can repeat their depraved horrors of October 7, God forbid. These ignorant demonstrators are actively helping the very culture that has given them the freedom to protest.
So yes, as harsh as it may sound, these demonstrators are the exact definition of “useful idiots”.
But each of us can make a difference, not by “counter demonstrating”, but by educating. We each need to have the information above to educate these demonstrators about what they are doing. We need to speak, write, and use all media available to teach these ignorant tools of Hamas what the history really is, and that “free palestine” is not only a call for the genocide of all Jewish people, but for the destruction of all Western culture.
I pray we succeed in educating them and stopping these fools before it is too late, God forbid…for Israel, for the United States, and for the world.
