An employee from Turning Point USA was violently attacked by a pro-Palestinian mob at a pro-Israel event on Sunday. Peter Christos reported to Charlie Kirk, the founder and CEO of TPUSA, that he was left with a concussion and severe bruising following the assault in which he tried to assist an elderly couple to safety.

Christos set the scene on Kirk’s show Tuesday by explaining that he attended the event in Skokie, Illinois (near Chicago) with a coworker. Despite Skokie being a “historically Jewish town,” there was a large pro-Palestine protest escalating outside of the event.

He said the two “were outnumbered about 2 to 300” and did not engage with the protesters.

They were discovered to be Jewish allies after attempting to access the event through a police barricade after which they were told they needed to head a different direction.

The pro-Palestinian activists subsequently followed and harassed the pair, physically assaulting them while screaming at them.

Christos reported that “as we made our way down the street, I noticed an elderly Orthodox Jewish couple.”

After finding out they were there for the pro-Israel event as well, the men insisted on helping the older couple get to the correct location amongst the escalating move that grew more and more aggressive, even “getting into this elderly Jewish lady's face and screaming at her” as she was shaking with terror.

“And the next thing I remember,” he said, “I was punched in the back of the head, pushed into bushes, beaten and kicked in the head, and hit with a flagpole” after being separated from his coworker in a split second.

The mob was yelling obscenities at the group including, shockingly, calling them Nazis. Skokie is a “historically Jewish town where many Holocaust survivors went after World War II.”

"They went up to an Orthodox Jewish man and they called him a Nazi to his face."

Christos also reported that “the pro-Palestinian event was supposed to be hosted downtown but instead moved specifically to protest this pro-Israeli event.”

Christos said that after police thankfully intervened, the two men were able to run to the end of the street after the assault. They were still however chased by the mob and heard gunshots at one point in the chaotic and terrifying incident.

When Kirk inquired about the elderly couple, Christos recounted that they seemingly tried to help the young man by pushing the assailants off of him but that he’s unsure of their status currently.

“I do hope that they are okay, and that we can connect with them,” he stated.
