"What was so great about his speech was that he was the first American president for a long time to acknowledge that we need American world leadership to respond."

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson released a video Friday in which he stated Hamas and Russian President Vladimir Putin are “morally identical” to tease a Daily Mail column he wrote which will be released Saturday.

He praised the speech made by Joe Biden Thursday that reflected these sentiments, linking the war in Ukraine to Hamas’ terror attack.

Johnson stated: "Joe Biden made a great speech last night in which he set out how Hamas and Putin’s troops are morally identical in their terroristic methods, the assault that they are mounting on democracy."

“What was so great about his speech,” he continued “was that he was the first American president for a long time to acknowledge that we need American world leadership to respond.”

Biden linked Putin and Hamas in his speech, saying that "both want to completely annihilate a neighboring democracy, completely annihilate it."

“We cannot and will not let terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin win,” he said.

He announced that he “secured an agreement for the first shipment of humanitarian assistance from the United Nations to Palestinian civilians in Gaza.”

“If Hamas does not divert or steal this shipment, these shipments,” he continued, “we're going to provide an opening for sustained delivery of Life Saving humanitarian assistance for the Palestinians."

Biden also called for Congress to pass what is expected to be $100 billion in new funding while warning that “chaos will spread.”
