A 25-year-old Israeli woman has been praised as a hero after leading a group of residents in a kibbutz just a mile east of the Gaza border as they took out over two dozen Hamas terrorists during a four hour showdown over the weekend.

Inbar Lieberman and her team managed to secure kibbutz Nir Am, and ensure that it suffered as few casualties as possible.

According to the Daily Mail, Lieberman heard explosions early Saturday morning and, realizing they sounded different than usual, sprung into action.

She rushed to the kibbutz's armory and grabbed guns for everyone on the 12-person security team, which she had been a member of since December 2022.

The group proceeded to set up and wait for the intrusion, which was quickly approaching. When they arrived at the kibbutz, Lieberman and her team ambushed them and managed to kill 25 terrorists. She killed five herself while her fellow kibbutzniks downed the rest.

"They managed to kill the first ones," a survivor explained, "then the second wave there were like 50 or 60 with four cars ... that's when the army at the last minute arrived with tank[s] and other means and finished them off."

"We are safe, others are not," he continued. "We have to thank the people of Nir Am, and God ... still it's a very terrible ordeal."

Lieberman's actions are believed to have saved the lives of at least 20 people who lived in the community, a feat for which some suggested she should be awarded the Israel Prize, one of the nation's highest honors.

"The story of her heroism is a story that will go down in Israeli lore for generations," a post on social media read, according to Maariv Daily. "Inbal is the reason there is one kibbutz in the entire surrounding area that remains unharmed."
