Now, after a mobbing, Stanely has reveresed course. He's done what so many have done before him: capitulate to a woke mob that shamed him for speaking his mind and telling the truth. If there's anything that society absolutely will not tolerate today, it's truth.
Those who oppose child sex changes get little public support among the creative or entertainment classes. Hollywood and the music industry all seem to have joined forces to shut out any dissenting views. They use euphemisms to describe the process of sex change, calling it "gender affirming care," and seek to gloss over the harms done to girls and boys who are set on the path to transition at young ages.
Stanley, in speaking out against transition for gender nonconforming people, bucked that trend, and sent those talking points flying into the wind. Until the powers that be, those who demand compliance, those who will not have their lies questioned, jumped in and pushed him back toward the woke fold.
Stanley's first post was strong. He spoke up for kids who may not fit the mold, who may like to dress differently or think differently. He was one of these kids, he said, and in retrospect he is very glad that he was not told he was actually a girl trapped in a boy's body and allowed to grow up into the man he became.
"There is a BIG difference between teaching acceptance and normalizing and even encouraging participation in a lifestyle that confuses young children into questioning their sexual identification as though some sort of game and then parents in some cases allow it," Stanely wrote, taking a welcome stand against a gender ideology movement that seeks to sterilize teens and destroy their sexual function.
He gave courage to another former rocker, Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, who said "You know what? There was a time were I 'felt pretty' too. Glad my parents didn't jump to any rash conclusions! Well said, Paul Stanley."
Stanley was blasted on Twitter for these comments, for encouraging parents and doctors to let children who are gender nonconforming grow up whole and without intervention or interference.
In response to that massive backlash, Stanley, sadly, backtracked. "While my thoughts were clear," he wrote, "my words clearly were not.
"Most importantly and above all else, I support those struggling with their sexual identity while enduring constant hostility and those whose path leads them to reassignment surgery. It's hard to fathom the kind of conviction that one must feel to take those steps.
"A paragraph or two will remain far too short to fully convey my thoughts or point of view so I will leave that for another time and place," he wrote by way of total and complete capitulation.
This second post reads like it came straight from the head of PR at some woke firm desperate to ensure that Stanley can maintain any kind of fame-based income into his later years. This backtracking came after Snider, for his comments in support of Stanley, was axed from the San Francisco Pride line-up for what was termed "transphobia."
San Francisco Pride put out a statement, saying that they were "heartbroken and angry" to learn that Snider had supported Stanley's "transphobic statement."
"We have mutually agreed to part ways," Pride said of their relationship with Snider, but appreciate Dee seeing this as a teachable moment and a reminder that even allies need to be educated to ensure that they are not casually promoting transphobia."
First Stanely was badgered into expressing support for lies over truth, and then Snider was as well. The awful truth is that the Pride lobby and trans activists have captured language and now use it to force untruth over truth, and to give those lies the glamor of honesty.
But gender nonconforming kids are not the opposite sex, they are simply who they are, and their healthy bodies should be left alone to grow into adulthood without modification by an activist medical profession that believes medical technology can miraculously change a child from one sex to another.
"There ARE individuals who as adults may decide reassignment is their needed choice but turning this into a game or parents normalizing it as some sort of natural alternative or believing that because a little boy likes to play dress up in his sister’s clothes or a girl in her brother’s, we should lead them steps further down a path that’s far from the innocence of what they are doing," Stanley's initial statement continued.
"With many children who have no real sense of sexuality or sexual experiences caught up in the 'fun' of using pronouns and saying what they identify as, some adults mistakenly consume teaching acceptance with normalizing and encouraging a situation that has been a struggle for those truly affected and have turned into a sad and dangerous fad," he concluded.
The anti-authoritarian, outspoken rockstars of the past have simply become the woke mouthpieces of the progressive left. No longer brave or brazen, they are now merely aging rockers too afraid to counter the loud and aggresive talking points of the industry to which they owe their livelihood and their royalty checks.
