Following an attack carried out by Antifa members on businesses in Hollywood, one member of the group, 22-year-old Ezequiel "Zeke" Jorge Riesgo, was arrested. It has been revealed that Riesgo was previously featured on the popular Twitter account Libs of TikTok for talking about Riesgo's "gender-neutral baby."

According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, a group began to gather in the 1500 block of Vine Street at around 7:30 pm. The attack was one of many carried out across the country following the release of bodycam footage related to the death of Tyre Nichols.

"The group started to march through the surrounding area, walking in the roadway," the press release read. "Around 8:15 pm, a man dressed in all black clothing with a gray backpack, later identified as 22-year-old Ezequiel Riesgo, used a tool in his hand to shatter the window of a business in the 1500 block of Cahuenga Boulevard."

Police said that following the vandalism, Riesgo continued to march with the group, using spray paint to vandalize the wall of a business in the 1600 block of Vine Street.

Riesgo was arrested following the end of the march and was charged with felony vandalism. Bail was set at $20,000.

In Riesgo’s backpack, police found "tools commonly used for breaking windows and spray paint."

Riesgo, who is transgender, was previously featured on Libs of TikTok for a video posted to TikTok in which Riesgo and Riesgo’s partner, Florentino Hawthorne explained how they are raising their child to be "gender neutral."

In one video, they describe how they dress up their "gender-neutral baby," stating that "we dress them in absolutely everything and anything except items or gender terms such as little princess or little man."

"We will not be using puberty blockers on our child until they ask us to do so because we don’t want to instill the idea that they should be ashamed, unhappy, or uncomfortable in their body," the video adds.

During the Hollywood attack, Antifa members were seen spray painting "cop city" on the sides of buildings, referring to an autonomous zone set up just south of Atlanta in protest of a training facility set to be built there. Earlier this month,  26-year-old Manuel Esteban Paez Teran was fatally shot after he shot and injured a police officer who was part of a raid operation.

The autonomous zone has seen many be arrested for domestic terrorism charges since its inception, with fires being set and rocks and other projectiles being thrown at officers attempting to clear the scene.

Reisgo was featured in a July 2020 report from the Whittier Daily News about an encampment at Whittier’s city hall.

The group set up tents at Central Park on June 15, 2020, moving to the front lawn of Whittier City Hall over that weekend to protest the lack of a homeless shelter.

The outlet said that Riesgo, then going by Zeke, was a Rio Hondo College student who had started the protest with Whittier resident Hawthorne, then going by Lotti.
